Our First Lady - Lady Michelle Hedgemon
Michelle Hedgemon was born in Macon, Georgia on March 24th, she spent
most of her childhood raised in the quaint hills of (Oak Grove) west
of Hattiesburg, MS. Minister Michelle Hedgemon is the oldest of three
children to her parents of Hattiesburg, Kenny and Mary Floyd (Ransom
Poole). She met and married her husband Bishop- Elect LaBaron Hedgemon,
the love of her life in Hattiesburg, MS 2002. God blessed them with
three exceptional children Alaysia, BaLeigh and LaBaron Hedgemon,
II who is affectionately known as “BJ”.
In 2001, she attained her very first certification as a Licensed Practical
Nurse from Pearl River Community College. Shortly thereafter, she
pursued and conquered the Associate’s degree nursing program
at Meridian Community College in May 2007. Upon passing her board
examination on her first attempt in June 2007, she received her registered
nursing licensure. In further pursuit in healthcare Minister Hedgemon
attained a Bachelor’s of Science Nursing degree from Western
Governor’s University in January 2019.
After marriage she and Bishop- Elect relocated to his birthplace of
Meridian, MS. Since then Minister Hedgemon has served a nursing pathway
in the southern regions of Mississippi in Forrest & Lauderdale
counties for 18 years. She matriculated masterfully through acute
and long term care settings in areas of general adult, pediatric,
pain treatment, pain management, telemetry, pre-op/ recovery, homecare
hospice, rehabilitative residential and intensive care units.
Minister Hedgemon currently is a Meridian Public School District employee
and serves as a Secondary Education Health Science instructor at Ross
Collins Career & Technical Center.
She adores her students. She is very passionate and honored to share
knowledge gained over the years for training future healthcare leaders.
Hedgemon was raised in the Hattiesburg Church of God in Christ under
the tutelage of Elder Bobby Carpenter. Growing up in the COGIC, she
was educated early of the importance on how to obey and listen for
God’s voice. She received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as
a teenager. She was trained in early childhood how to take authority
in the realm of the spirit by exercising her God given authority to
declare In Jesus Name! She stands boldly as one of God’s anointed
end time intercessors. She trusts in the supernatural capabilities
in the Blood of Jesus and has witnessed the deliverance of many souls
being saved as a result. She has ministered to countless souls and
has a very zealous heart for evangelism.
Minister Hedgemon is a member of Freedom Rock Christian Fellowship
as she serves as leader of the women’s ministry WoMAX,
whereas it strives to provide women with a virtuous example of how
they can accomplish their dreams through ministry of “Birthing,
Bonding, and Building”.
At her church, Freedom Rock she serves as a licensed minister on MIT
“ministers in training” staff under Bishop- Elect Hedgemon’s
administration. Minister Hedgemon devotedly operates in the gift of
helps, healing, faith, discernment and administration. Under the anointing,
she maneuvers as teacher with prophetic type insight projected through
the word of knowledge.
Minister Hedgemon has a heart for serving the women of the community
and her church family. Specifically, her heart’s desire is to
empower young ladies and women toward the path of becoming the preeminent
woman, mother, sister or friend that God desires them to be.
Minister Hedgemon served as an active board member of Center of Pregnancy
Choices for four years. She also is currently Vice-President of 24/7
Developments, LLC, real estate business founded by she and her husband
LaBaron Hedgemon in 2009.
Minister Hedgemon is the founder of GoGrace, LLC and the “Little
Ladies” seminar that sponsors many youth and provides a summer
enrichment program in conjunction with LaBaron Hedgemon Ministries
She has been interviewed locally by WTOK- Meridian regarding the needs
of young women throughout her community and shared internationally
on The WORD Network on subjects related to women serving in leadership
roles and the evolving millennial age church.
Minister Hedgemon believes that while her life’s purpose serves
as a model of healing and restoration, her ultimate desire is for
her life to always provide an all inclusive approach in meeting holistic
needs for young ladies and women worldwide. A personal motto Minister
Hedgemon has grown to live by is known as GoGrace which means: Despite
shame or condemnation caused by unfortunate life decisions, despite
thinking on this side of creation your life may seem not even worthy
of a mention, a life covered under God’s grace is a life that
is forever evolving, hence the motto #GoGrace!
